Color Brighton Green Coloring Contest

Hey kids, enter the Color Brighton Green Coloring Contest and show us how green our town can be! Pictures must be submitted by Friday, January 4, 2008. Prizes will be awarded.

If you live or attend school in Brighton and are in grades Pre-K through 12, create a picture that illustrates the ways we can adopt environmentally friendly and energy-saving practices.

Color Brighton Green is an initiative by the Green Brighton Task Force, a citizens’ task force created by the Supervisor’s office to encourage governments, residents, businesses, and institutions to adopt environmentally friendly and energy-saving practices.  Students are invited to create pictures that illustrate these goals.

Only one entry per student will be accepted. Your entry must be on 8½ x 11" or 11 x 14" white paper or paperboard, using crayon, pastels, colored pencils, markers, and/or paint.  The words “Color Brighton Green” must appear in the drawing.

Your entry must be received by January 4, 2008 and will be judged by a panel of area art teachers. Winners will be announced at the Color Brighton Green New Year’s Resolution Party on Monday, January 7th, at Brighton Town Hall Auditorium, 7:00-8:30 pm. Judging will be based on creativity, content, and composition. Prizes will be awarded in various age groups according to the number of entries in each age group.
