Alternative energy generation

  • Small-wind generating system: installed a WindTamer, 3.5 kW wind turbine. The first week of wind generation generated 30 kW of electricity. The owner researched wind generation and determined that WindTamer Corporation, a local company, has a small-scale turbine with the ability to generate enough power to run a normal home and approximately half the cost of conventional wind turbines to buy and install.
  • Geothermal heating and cooling system
  • The owner is researching solar photovoltaic installation to supplement other systems.
