The public can now sign up for NY-Alert to receive notice of sewage discharges. The New York State Department of Environmental Conservation (NYSDEC) is sponsoring an information session to provide background on the regulations. With the NY-Alert system in place, information can now be provided to residents in a timely manner. The NYSDEC is also accepting comments on these new regulations through July 31, 2015
