Geologic Issues for LP Gas Storage in Seneca Lake Salt Caverns

Presentation will include a brief review of the bedrock geology of Western New York and the
Finger Lakes region and will focus on the controversial proposal to use subsurface salt caverns near Seneca Lake for liquefied petroleum gas (LPG) storage. Raymond Vaughan, Ph.D. Geologist, Environmental Scientist and Consultant in Buffalo, Retired Environmental Scientist with the New York State Attorney General’s Office.
